You likely heard of the many benefits clear aligners offer. They are removable while being discreet, allowing them to fit easily into your lifestyle without adjusting your diet. 1.)  Pressure or Discomfort<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Invisalign works by wearing plastic trays for 20 to 22 hours a day. They apply a gentle pressure that will gradually move your teeth into healthier positions. To keep your treatment going smoothly, you\u2019ll wear a new set every week or so.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2.)  Speech Changes<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Many people often notice a change in their speech when they wear their aligners initially. Your mouth isn\u2019t used to the thin trays, so your tongue may bump into them and give you a minor lisp. It can be a bit embarrassing, but you can practice talking or reading aloud to help get adjusted to them quicker.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3.)  Dislodged Restorations<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

In some cases, Invisalign can cause problems for your crown, filling, or bridge if they are older. You may notice them loosening or moving more than before. If this is true for you, then you\u2019ll need to stop wearing your trays and call your dentist right away. This can help make sure your restoration stays safe and refit your aligners if needed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Is Invisalign Still Worth It?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Regardless of the complications above, they shouldn\u2019t stop you from getting Invisalign. Many of them are minor and have quick solutions, so you just need to get over a short transition period.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Instead, look forward to the many benefits you get during and after your treatment. You don’t have to change your diet much or worry about having a metal look in your smile. Even after you get your results, you can then have a more comfortable bite. That way, you feel confident about your choice for your grin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
